No, Thailand is not at all a third world country; in fact it
has one of the rapidly growing economies in Asia. All
western amenities and facilities are available here
especially in the big cities and in the tourist spots.
Is Thailand safe?
Thailand is the safest country is Asia and safer than most
of its western counterparts. Bangkok, the capital of
Thailand is very safe and it is not a problem to travel
alone even at midnight. There are some violent activities

English is not very commonly known but the young generation

fluent in English. In tourist areas, the Thais speak little
