Nightlife in Phuket, Thailand

Nightlife in all the tourist spots in Thailand are exciting and invigorating and Phuket being the most popular of them is no exception. Phuket transforms itself into a party deck after sundown. Patong beach area in Phuket is known for its exquisite and exciting nightlife actions. There bars, Go-go bars and pubs in and around the beach along the Bangla Road and Soi Sunset. These places are however not suitable for kids and families.

To experience an original Thai nightlife and mingle with the locals try going to the bars and cafes in the Phuket town.

The discos and nightclubs in Phuket are open till 2 a.m. and bars close down at 1 a.m. according to Thai laws. But still exceptions are there. Nightlife in Phuket has mellowed down in recent past to make it more family oriented and friendlier for women. Do not expect a Pattaya in Phuket. There are many Thai style coffee shops, good Thai restaurants and music bars in Phuket where you can have a nice time.

The island of Phuket is also famous for its Gay Nightlife. This island hosts the biggest Gay Party in Asia every year in March or April. It is an extremely colorful and vibrant festival and attracts huge number of tourists.
